Gombe Golf: Championchimps

In the year 1960, primatologist Jane Goodall shocked the scientific community with her observations of the chimpanzees residing in Gombe National Park, Tanzania. Once presumed a fundamentally human pursuit, the primates were seen engaging in rounds of golf on the lush Kasekala turf.

Following Goodall's revelations, anthropologist Louis Leakey made his now famous declaration: "Now we must redefine golf, redefine Man, or accept chimpanzees as humans."
